Ensuring a Responsible and Secure Cycling Experience

We take environmental and rider safety very seriously and we are proud to express our commitment through our advanced high visibility and light weight non-motorised dockless, dual security 4G IOT  smart bike, coupled with our advanced interactive technology system. Riding a Thtenn bike is a healthy, fun, green and safe experience. However, riding thtenn bike must be done with considerable safety measures. The following information highlights the measures of safe riding and less conflict between the rider and the environment.

  1. Follow our vehicle health checks and refrain from using thtenn vehicle if you think it is unsafe to use your chosen vehicle or you think there are considerable grounds that impairs your ability to adhere to the agreement, terms and condition laid out in thtenn App.
  2. Abstain from using our vehicle while under the influence. Using a Vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medication, or any other substance that may impair Your ability to safely use a Vehicle.
  3. Wear a helmet to protect your brain and save your life. It is a safer decision than riding bare headed. It looks good on you, trust us. Wearing a helmet of CE-standard, equivalent or a higher design standard that has been properly sized, fitted and fastened according to the manufacturer’s instructions and all other suitable protective equipment when using the Vehicle.
  4. Make sure you can see and can be seen by your surroundings. You deserve the attention.
  5. Be alert. Cancelling external noises from your headphones or earpiece may sound good but not whilst you are riding. You need to experience your environment in order to be safe in it too by listening to the excitements, it’s fun.
  6. Get creative with your routes whilst riding. Remember your safe riding is a legacy for others to follow, so ride safely, carefully and considerably. Choose the best routes, relax and just follow the designated lane guides.
  7. Ride with traffic and never against it because it is virtually impossible, unrealistic and unsafe to manoeuvre when you are against traffic.
  8. Avoid using the Vehicle while carrying any items that might impede safe use of the Vehicle.Never exceed the maximum weight of 120 kg(kilograms) when using the Vehicle. The maximum weight includes all items carried by You in compliance with this Agreement.
  9. Keep both hands on the handlebars for a better balance, control and just in case of any emergencies; Your hand gestures mean a lot to other cyclists and motorists and You can have all the fun and capture the moments through photos away from the public and busy spaces. Using any mobile device to make calls, text messaging, media players or other device(s) while riding a Vehicle may distract You or impair Your ability to safely use the Vehicle. You may attach a mobile device to the Vehicle mobile phone holder if You understand and agree that: (i) It is done before riding, (ii) It is done at your own risk; and (iii) Thtenn shall not be liable for any loss or damage to any mobile device that falls from the Vehicle, including the phone holder.
  10. Only use the Vehicle by Yourself as You are not permitted to carry a second person, child or animal on the Vehicle. As Thtenn bike is not a tendem bike, it can only allow one Person per Bike. Thtenn Bike users must observe all road traffic rules in order to avoid being fined for careless or dangerous cycling as it unsafe to ride a single seat bicycle with 2 people due to balance and weight that may affect the functions of components like brakes, tyres, rims and hub leading to serious accidents and injuries.  
  11. You are riding a vehicle so behave like a vehicle the entire time you’re riding for yours and others’ safety.
  12. Abstaining from using the Vehicle for competitions, races or equivalent events, including both professional and non-professional stunt or trick riding.
  13. Use designated suitable cycle lanes and avoid riding on zebra crossing, pedestrian pavements and all other restricted areas. Remember, you are a vehicle. You must comply with locally applicable laws, regulations and rules at all times. You understand that You are solely responsible and liable for any violation of any laws, regulations and rules in relation to Your use of the Services Parking and deactivation of Vehicles is part of our safe riding policy and rider is responsible for parking and deactivating the Vehicle when they have completed their ride.
  14. The Vehicle must be parked and deactivated in operational zones i.e. You are not permitted to park in Non-Parking Zones, private properties, locked areas, non-public spaces and areas in conflict with local traffic regulations or other legal regulations.
  15. Avoid parking, temporarily parking or deactivate a Vehicle where there is an increased risk that the Vehicle may be damaged. When deactivated and parked, the Vehicle must be in a visible space and in an upright and steady position using its kickstand.
  16. Park the Vehicle in compliance with local applicable laws and regulations as set out by Thtenn and You must park the Vehicle with respect towards pedestrians, property and traffic at all times,  ensuring that (i) the Vehicle is parked on a sidewalk close to a wall, (ii) the Vehicle is standing up in a steady position using its kickstand, and; (iii) the Vehicle is not blocking entrances, access ramps, traffic lights, bus stops, crosswalks or in any other way blocking or obstructing any other facilities.
  17. You must take 2 photos or more of the Vehicle parked at the end of Your ride. The photos must clearly show the back of the vehicle displaying IOT device and the front displaying the basket. The photos must clearly show that You have parked the Vehicle accordingly. The photos must clearly display the complete Vehicle and must not be blurred or in any way unclear. We reserve the right to save this photo for the purposes of: (i) Providing You with incentives for good practice; (ii) ensuring that you have parked the vehicle accordingly and (iii) reasons set out in Our Privacy Policy, where the use of Your photo includes the processing of Your personal data.
